Where to cool off this summer near the hotel?
Your stay in the Landes will be an opportunity to discover some of nature's gems while staying cool
Courant d'Huchet nature reserve
18.5 kilometres from the hotelSituated between the Etang de Léon and the Atlantic Ocean, the Courant d'Huchet Nature Reserve is a site rich in history, but also in shady spots.
Take advantage of the hot weather to explore the site and get up close and personal with the fauna and flora of the Landes.
The reserve can be explored on foot along signposted routes, or by boat along the water's edge. Guided tours are available for tourists.
Soustons lake
25 kilometres from the hotelThe lake at Soustons is off-limits to bathers, but will give you the chance to cool off. The lake is classified Natura 2000, and its 380 hectares are mainly devoted to water sports.
Stand-up paddle, canoe, windfoil, sailing... You can hire the equipment of your choice once you arrive at the Soustons Marensin sailing club on the shores of the lake.
There's also plenty of room for romantic strolls along the water's edge, family bike rides or fishing with friends.
Moliets beach
25 kilometres from the hotelThe central beach of the town of Moliets is the tourist attraction of the summer months.
When it's time for the summer holidays, surf enthusiasts get out their boards while others bask in the sun. Children prefer to eat ice creams or make sandcastles. Whatever happens, the beach is bustling from morning to night until sunset.
Be careful, however, when the sea retreats: it then creates baïnes, which can be dangerous.
